At the beginning of the year, a new movement called One Game A Month kicked off. The idea is that each month you start a game, and complete it by the end of the month. The main idea is to encourage each other, and to grow your skills as a developer.
The game I will be building will be a simple medieval knight sidescroller game where you fight simple enemies, and a boss at the end to save the day. So far i have been building a bit of a skeleton app, and rendering some information from a Tiled map and creating some art to go with it. This evening I messed around with a trial of adobe illustrator, and managed to create some alright looking grass. Not sure if ill fork out the $20/mo for illustrator yet. Something like iDraw also looks rather intriguing.
